When the ladle is hot repaired, in order to remove the residual steel and slag on the surface of the purging plug and restore the breathable function of the purging plug, it is necessary to clean the surface of the purging plug with oxygen blowing to melt the steel slag adhered to the surface of the purging plug; gas to blow away the slag. During the cleaning process, the purging plug are scoured by high-speed airflow, so the purging plug are required to have good high temperature wear resistance.
(4) Good thermal shock resistance. Due to the intermittent operation of the ladle, when the ladle is poured into molten steel, the end of the purging plug is subjected to the action of the high-temperature molten steel, and the temperature rises suddenly. At the same time, when molten steel is injected into the empty ladle, a large temperature change will also occur, so the use conditions of the purging plug are very harsh, and it is very easy to produce thermal spalling and structural spalling.
(5) It is required to be easy to install, safe and reliable. The purging plug is installed inside the base brick at the bottom of the ladle, and the working conditions are extremely harsh. The life of the ladle purging plug cannot be synchronized with the life of the entire ladle, so the purging plug needs to be replaced.
