Silicon carbide brick is a refractory material made of SiC as the main raw material. Mohs hardness 9. It is more stable for acid slag. Containing SiC 72% ~ 99%. The bricks are divided into clay binding, Si3N4 binding, Sialon binding, -SIC binding, Si2ON2 binding and recrystallization. It is mainly used in retort, cast aluminum mold, electric furnace lining and heat exchanger, etc.
Silicon carbide is a man-made mineral, it is a covalent bond compound, it is the existence of this bond, so that it has high strength, hardness. The shed board, push board, slide board, support, sagger, flame slide, etc. produced with silicon carbide as the main raw materials. With the inherent characteristics of silicon carbide, with the product load softening and wear resistance, fast heat conduction, oxidation resistance, high temperature strength, long service life and other characteristics. Our factory produces silicon carbide products of various specifications all year round, and there are various kinds of special silicon carbide bricks (arch bricks) against kiln and furnace openings. The product has good thermal performance, high thermal stability, no deformation, no softening, no expansion under high temperature for a long time, and can maintain the inherent high thermal conductivity of silicon carbide. The product is also characterized by wear resistance and erosion.
Clay bonded silicon carbide brick is a refractory product made of silicon carbide as the main raw material and clay as the binder. It is characterized by high thermal conductivity, small thermal expansion coefficient, good thermal shock resistance and wear resistance, and is one of the earliest sic bricks developed.
Black silicon carbide is used as raw material for clay bonded silicon carbide brick. Its chemical composition :SiC 98.0%, free C 0.5%, Fe 0.2%, free SiO2 0.6%. Soft clay and pulp waste liquid with good binding performance are used as binder. In the past, the proportion of the combined clay is larger, generally 10%~15%, now more than 3% of the clay and 5% of the pulp waste liquid. The thermal conductivity of silicon carbide brick with less clay is 3~4 times higher than that of multi-clay brick. The manufacturing process of 3% clay bonded silicon carbide brick is to prepare coarse, medium and fine SiC according to the particle grade that can obtain the maximum packing density. After dry mixing, clay was added. After dry mixing for 3min, pulp waste liquid (density: 1.26~1.289/cm) was added to 4% for mixing. The moisture of the mud is about 1.5%. After 12h of trapping, the mud passes through 4mm sieve and is formed by brick press. The density of brick volume is 2.5~2.79/cm. It was dried for 2~4 days under natural drying conditions and burned in the tunnel kiln at a temperature of 1400℃.
The products are used as kiln tools for ceramic kiln (board, holder, sagger, etc.), muff cover for muff furnace, lining bricks for aluminum refining furnace, distillation tank for zinc distillation furnace, cooler for cement rotary kiln, etc.
